Fermata 04:10
Zip that coat up to your chin and brace yourself Wind screams lies into both ears and you said it would be different this year We're both stick figures on a mile high canvas I'm prophet I'll tell the world that nothing else stays the same It's just like i thought it would be So take what you want from me Salt to your lemonade Half-empty to your over-flowing Push and pull and call for reinforcements Breaking silence thats never-ending And never ever needs to be said
2.
Spark 03:01
When the playground fence falls down The children laugh and play and set fire to the town But I've grown too old to match their sense Or put an end to their madness WIth a spark, the war has begun Before I could blink the war was won And I won't stop searching if you keep insisting that we press on. Then the water glass was overflowed The children washed away in the arms of undertow And I was reminded that strength cant harness the speed of a fuse between me and you I miss being alone I cant stand being alone.

December 04:00
Cars with wreaths and reindeer heads and locked behind windows am I. Mournings days when people lose their minds And morning stays locked up behind my eyes I keep it pure, I keep it simple. I never know what to say. I shake down emotion and seal it behind porcelain. Bright lights that keep shining full all night for nooone. I in my dreaming cap and you with your unfailing smile. I've been here before and I can see it all too clear Not a creature stirring. I'm the only one left here. I never know what to say.
4.
I drive a red car I live in a red house at the end of the street I am colorblind I close my curtains when the weather breaks and the wind retreats I am concealed I am a poet I have no words to say They all lose momentum I am locked away I still close my curtains when the weather breaks and the wind retreats I am confounded Covert, clandestine and confused I'm holding back I'm holding on to a formless legacy A fragmentary fruit in a fool's paradise
